2025 has been a memorable year for Quaise Energy. We broke ground on our first superhot geothermal commercial development, and progressed millimeter wave drilling at a rate faster than any other drilling technology in history.

It was only at the beginning of January that our team began mobilizing our millimeter wave system out of the lab and into the field. By mid-January, we tested the full system outside for the very first time at our headquarters in Houston.

In April, we took a separate system over to our partners at Nabors Industries, testing on their full scale oil and gas rig and completing a key milestone we set out from the beginning. It became the world’s first hybrid drilling rig: combining conventional and millimeter wave capabilities.

Then in July, we reached a historic milestone. We took the rig from our January tests and drilled down 118 meters at a granite quarry in central Texas, far exceeding even our most optimistic expectations, capping off a remarkable sprint: from lab to over 100 meters in the ground in only half a year. Our field team is now preparing to hit one kilometer in 2026.

Looking ahead to next year, we’re bringing our first commercial flow test online as we get ready to put superhot geothermal energy on the grid for the first time in history. This is the true ambition of our team: empowering civilization with Earth’s perfect power source, made possible at global scales only with millimeter wave drilling.

In 2026, we’re full steam ahead.
